We examine the gap, check the bone on an X-ray and go through your health, medicines and smoking. You leave with a written plan and the cost.
Placing the implant
Under local anaesthesia the post is placed in the jaw. Most people find the visit easier than they expected.
Healing
The bone bonds to the implant over the following weeks to months. Where needed you wear a temporary tooth meanwhile.
Your crown
We take an impression and fit a zirconia crown matched to the shade and shape of your own teeth.
Reviews
Check-ups and a professional clean keep the implant and the gum around it healthy for the long term.

Aftercare
- Bite gently on the gauze for 30 minutes.
- Use an ice pack outside the cheek on day one, 10 minutes on and off.
- Eat soft, cool food for a few days and chew on the other side.
- No smoking for at least two weeks. It slows healing.
- Rinse gently with warm salt water from tomorrow.
- Keep every review visit until your crown is fitted.
Good to know
- Swelling, bruising and some bleeding for a few days.
- Dry socket or infection can happen, especially with smoking.
- Numbness of the lip, tongue or chin is usually temporary and very rarely lasting.
- Upper back teeth sit close to the sinus, which we check on the X-ray.
- An implant may not bond with the bone, and then it may need to be placed again.

How much does a dental implant cost at Nafasat?

Does getting an implant hurt?
The area is fully numbed with local anaesthesia, so you feel pressure rather than pain. Some soreness and swelling for a few days afterwards is normal and settles with ordinary painkillers.
How long does the whole process take?
Usually a few months from placing the implant to fitting the crown, because the bone needs time to bond with the implant. We give you your own timeline at the consultation.
Can I have an implant if I have diabetes or smoke?
Often yes, if diabetes is well controlled. Smoking slows healing and raises the risk of the implant failing, so we ask you to stop for at least two weeks around the procedure.
How long does an implant last?
With good brushing, cleaning and regular check-ups an implant can serve you for many years. How you care for it matters as much as how it is placed.
